Conditioning Research Institute
Background and role
At TENTIAL, we define “conditioning”—a concept at the heart of our vision—as optimizing all aspects of physical and mental well-being to maximize overall life performance. Originally rooted in the world of athletics, conditioning involves athletes carefully managing their mind and body 24/7, including during off-time, to perform at their absolute best. We believe that these practices, which enable peak performance, are just as meaningful for everyday individuals striving to unleash their full potential. By studying athletes’ off-time conditioning routines and translating these insights into daily life, we aim to create a society where everyone can seamlessly integrate conditioning into their routines and experience its benefits. The Conditioning Research Institute organizes its work into five key areas: 1. Research and foundational studies on conditioning 2. Development of technologies and programs that underpin products and services 3. Generation of scientific evidence to support product functionality and effectiveness 4. Social implementation through pilot experiments 5. Awareness-raising initiatives, such as seminars The Institute actively incorporates the latest scientific insights on conditioning and gathers on-the-ground input from athletes and experts who practice conditioning at the highest level. Leveraging this accumulated expertise, we develop technologies that embed conditioning functions into our products, ensuring that each product delivers reliable, evidence-based performance. Beyond enhancing product functionality, we also apply these insights to the design of conditioning programs and services, extending the impact of our research to a wider range of applications. The Institute extends its impact beyond research and development by partnering with industry, government, and academia to conduct pilot studies that actively advance a society that embraces health. It also drives awareness and education initiatives, delivering conditioning seminars to athletes, individuals, companies, sports teams, municipalities, and other stakeholders, while collaborating with partners to implement practical, evidence-based conditioning programs that deliver tangible benefits.
